Liz Grana Named as Kirkwood School District Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction

Today, the Kirkwood School District announced that Dr. Liz Grana will serve as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Grana had been serving in the role as interim since the beginning of the school year.

In 2019, Grana came to the Kirkwood School District as the Director of Instruction and Professional Learning. She previously worked in the Ladue School District as an associate principal, assistant principal and health and PE teacher.

“Dr. Grana's work to expand and develop our professional development program has helped our teaching and learning team to hone their skills and better serve students," said Dr. David Ulrich, Superintendent. "She has shown herself to be a successful leader, and I am confident she will continue to innovate and guide our efforts effectively into the future."

Grana holds a doctorate of education from Lindenwood University. Her passion for leadership has served in supporting professional learning communities and the thoughtful development of curriculum for over a decade. At the heart of her work is the care of each and every learner and the colleagues and community she serves.

Grana succeeds Dr. Bryan Painter, who was recently named principal of Tillman Elementary School.
