Kirkwood High School Class of 2019 Earn a 24.4 Composite Score on ACT Slight Bump from Previous year
The Kirkwood High School (KHS) 2019 graduates posted an average of 24.4 on the ACT college entrance exam, a bump from 24.0 the year before. Students made gains in English, Math and Reading:
KHS graduates scored 3.6 points higher than the state composite score of 20.8. The highest possible score on the test is 36.
KHS had 388 graduates take the ACT in 2019.
ACT also reported the College Readiness Benchmark Score, which reflects the lowest scores students can score on the ACT subject level test and be considered “college ready.” These scores are:
18 on ACT English Test 22 on ACT Mathematics Test 22 on ACT Reading Test 23 on ACT Science Test
Fifty-one percent of 2019 KHS graduates met or exceeded benchmark scores. This is up 1% from 2018 KHS graduates who reported fifty percent ready. The state-level is twenty-five percent of 2019 graduates.
