Kirkwood School District Board of Education Approves In-Person Learning Plan for Middle School
During a special board meeting on Monday, October 12, the Kirkwood School District Board of Education approved the in-person learning plan option. Much like the elementary model, middle schools will have two pause days to allow schools and staff time to prepare for the transition. Then, 6th grade students will arrive on campus a few days before 7th and 8th-grade students.

10/23 Pause Day - No School for Middle School Students
10/26 -10/29 All virtual
10/30 Pause Day - No School for Middle School Students
11/2 All virtual
11/3 Election Day - No School
11/4 6th Grade in-person learning begins
11/5 6th Grade in-person learning
11/6 All virtual
11/9 - 11/12 In-Person Learning for all middle school grades
Monday - Thursday in Person Schedule for 6-8 students who opted in.
Fridays will continue to be a virtual learning day for the remainder of the semester in order to ensure elementary students are prepared to pivot to at-home learning if the need arises.
Conversations regarding high school return to in-person plans continue.
