Kaityln Emerson, a 7th-grade student at NKMS, was selected as a “Super Citizen” by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspapers in Education (NIE) program.
She was nominated by her teacher, Mr. Chris Hooker. At NKMS, Kaitlyn is an outstanding leader and represents the NKMS proudly.
According to the NIE website, a Super Citizen must demonstrate the following:
· Highly regarded by staff and students · Contributes positively to the classroom, school and community · Solves problems in peaceful ways · Demonstrates respect for diversity and the view of others · Has an excellent attitude towards education and school life · Exhibits a capacity for civics and is an outstanding citizen of the school
Kaitlyn earned four VIP passes to the 2019 State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Championship on Sunday, March 10 at Enterprise Center.
