Welcome to another amazing year with us here at Keysor! This has been a difficult few months on many levels. As a community, we are facing the emotional, mental, physical, and economic hardships of COVID-19 while finally addressing suppressed issues of race in our country. Our brave educators are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in educating your learners this year. Keysor has a reputation as one of the best elementary schools in the State of Missouri and the United States of America and that has not happened without you. We are a community school that values the partnership we have with each family in our Keysor community.
This handbook is meant to be a resource for you as we journey through this school year together. In it, you will find information about our school, teachers, and community. We recommend you spend some time reviewing the items in the handbook alongside your child or children. We will utilize our school website, Facebook, Twitter, Schoology, and our Blackboard Messaging systems to remain connected throughout this school year. You can expect a phone call and email of the week's upcoming events on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm. This schoolwide communication is in addition to communication from classroom teachers.
Please be sure your current contact information, email address, and phone number are always on file in our systems and always check your spam folder as sometimes communication from us ends up there. If you have any questions or concerns at any time during the year, please reach out. Your student's teacher is a valuable source of information and maybe the best place to start when seeking information about class-specific topics, but for building issues please reach out to us via email or phone. Together, we will do whatever it takes for you, your children, and our community. We value each and every one of you and the many beautiful, diverse ideas and experiences you bring to Keysor. Looking forward to an amazing school year, despite the circumstances!
