There are a number of options for summer camp at Kirkwood High School. If you are interested in sports camps, please visit the sports camp website, which is located at www.kirkwoodcamps.com.
The academic and artistic summer camp opportunites are:
KIWI (Kirkwood Writing Institute). This 5-day institute for writers in grades entering 8 through entering 12 will create a community for writers to develop and share their writings, help strengthen writers’ narrative non-fiction, fiction, and poetry skills, and promote writing as an authentic and enjoyable practice.
Broadway Bound Camp. This one-of-a-kind camp will give your child a chance to learn the ins and outs of producing a play. Campers will write their own scripts based on a "fractured faily tale." They will explore the Keating Theater catwalks as they learn about lighting, set and costume design. Campers will work with KHS Theatre faculty and student mentors and perform their "tale" in the KHS Keating Auditorium for family and friends.
KHS Summer Media Camp. Learn, grow and have fun with journalism--under the direction of Mitch Eden and Shawn Owens, KHS journalism advisers.
