Superintendent Search Update. The Kirkwood School District Board of Education has begun the search process for a new superintendent.

We have selected SCHOOL EXEC CONNECT, an educational search firm, to assist us in this process. We are interested in receiving your input about the new superintendent. We would appreciate it if you would take about five minutes to fill out an online survey that will be available from October 14-21, 2024. Safe and Sound  The safety of our schools is always top of mind. We continue to work on ways to enhance safety and security in our buildings. That means continually updating our facilities, processes and protocols. We also want to highlight our Safe and Sound resources, for information on how to keep students safe at school, online and at home.

Greentree Weekend. It's a Kirkwood holiday...Greentree weekend! Thank you to all our schools for their efforts and energy for your floats and fun. Our KSD float with Teachers of the Year, Key Contributors, and members of our Board of Education will be float #8.

MAP and Benchmarking Communication for Elementary and Middle School Families, Language for K-8 newsletters: The Kirkwood School District uses a range of informal and formal assessments to determine the instructional strength and needs of students, and thus guide how we proceed in supporting their learning.

All KSD elementary schools now include a STEM-specific classroom to promote hands-on science learning. We're incredibly excited about the experiences IDEA Lab will generate for our students! Please take a peek at what's been happening in our elementary school IDEA labs.
