Kirkwood High School Junior E.J. Evans Earns Eagle Scout Rank
Kirkwood High School (KHS) junior E.J. Evans, a member of Kirkwood Troop 981, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on August 5, 2026.
For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Evans led the design, construction, and installation of a new viewing area at the Kirkwood tennis courts in partnership with Kirkwood Parks and Recreation. The project provides an enhanced space for spectators and community members to enjoy activities at the courts.
Throughout his years in Scouting, Evans has demonstrated leadership by serving in several roles, including troop historian, troop guide and patrol leader. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society, and serves as his troop’s Order of the Arrow representative.
E.J. is also a member of the KHS Symphonic Orchestra and Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra, the Mock Trial team, the KHS cross country, tennis, and racquetball teams, and the Kirkwood Call journalism program as a photographer.
