Halls of Fame - Athletic & Outstanding Alumni

About the Halls of Fame

The Kirkwood School District takes immense pride in recognizing and celebrating the remarkable achievements of our alumni and those who have made significant contributions to the well-being and growth of our students and schools. We are honored to coordinate two distinguished Halls of Fame, each dedicated to acknowledging excellence in different ways:

  1. The Outstanding Alumni Hall of Fame

  2. The Athletic Hall of Fame

Criteria

KHS Outstanding Alumni Hall of Fame Nomination
The purpose of the Kirkwood Outstanding Alumni Hall of Fame is to honor alumni who have achieved success and who serve as appropriate role models for Kirkwood School District students. The two categories are Outstanding Alumni, and Pioneer Award Recipients.

Honorees selected met one or more of the following criteria: graduated from KHS at least 10 years before the nomination; achieved excellence in the fields of art, music, theater and dance, literature, or other related cultural fields; accomplished extraordinary success in trade, business or industry; contributed significantly to society through charitable work or good deeds; or served as an exceptional contributor to their chosen profession whether law, education, medicine, science, journalism or other.

The Pioneer Award honors individuals who may not have graduated from Kirkwood High School but who have made significant contributions to the Kirkwood School District.

KHS Athletic Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize men and women athletes, coaches, or community members who have made significant contributions to Kirkwood High School athletics. We are proud to acknowledge those who have contributed to Pioneer pride, their community, and society at large. The three categories include Alumni Athletes, Legendary Coaches, and Pioneer Award Recipients.
