Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI)

For students in grades K-5,  grade-level learning choice boards include assignments and activities designed for independent completion or minimal support.

Students are expected to complete the assignments in their choice boards (provided in a packet sent home) during the AMI days. Families are to initial and date the choice board and return it for a record of attendance.

Assignments should be returned for review upon the student’s return to school or submitted electronically if applicable. Teachers will be available during regular school hours via email to provide clarification, guidance, and support to students. Zoom is also available, as needed. 

Students in grades 6-8 will use Schoology Learning Management System to deliver and manage instructional content and assignments. Students will access their Schoology accounts to review and complete the assignments provided by their teachers.

Assignments will be uploaded and ready for student access by 9:00 a.m. on the AMI day. Assignments should be completed and submitted by the end of the school day unless circumstances prevent a student from doing so (11:59 p.m.). 

Teachers will be available during scheduled times via email, and Zoom is also available, as needed, to provide clarification, guidance, and support to students.

Middle School AMI Day Schedule
