• In an effort to help with contact tracing, we are asking for your help. In minimizing transition and to assist in contact tracing, please contact your school nurse if you or someone in your home has tested positive for COVID 19 or have symptoms.  You may also self-report by completing an online form and a nurse from the school will contact you.

If a person who has been on any campus tests positive for COVID 19, a notification will be sent to the appropriate school community.

As of Monday, September 28, 2020, the District published a COVID Dashboard. The dashboard will provide confirmed positive cases by student and school or facility. The dashboard will update every morning by 10 am. Staff members trained in contact tracing will contact close contacts of students or staff members. If a class or office needs to be quarantined, an email will be sent to the specific school community.

  • All nurses have completed contact tracing training, as well as several staff members at ASC. In addition, our nurses coordinate with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health regarding positive cases. In every situation, the St. Louis County Department of Public Health is contacted for guidance.

    Communication Protocol and Definitions

A positive case of a person (staff or student) in a school or facility within 48 hours will require an email to be sent to the entire school community.

If a class is quarantined, the entire school will be notified.

Current Positive: A staff member or student currently isolated due to a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test

Recovered Staff members/Students: A staff member or student who has recovered from COVID-19 and has returned to school.

Currently in Quarantine: A staff member or student who is currently in a 14-day self-quarantine due to having close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Released from Quarantine: A student or staff member who has returned to school from a 14-day self-quarantine due to having close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Close Contact: Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic clients, 2 days prior to positive specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.
