A Robinson HELLO! to Dr. Angeline O'Neal-Hogrefe!

Dr. O'Neal-Hogrefe ~ call her Dr. OH! ~ has taught both middle school and elementary school. She has been a school administrator in Francis Howell, currently at Harvest Ridge Elementary. Dr. OH and I have been meeting regularly since her announcement and I have had the chance to brag about Robinson kids, staff and families. She has a fabulous sense of humor, and asks great questions. Dr. OH is focused on connections, relationships and starting the year strong with lots of opportunities for healing and reconnecting after this very emotional fourth quarter.

In her spare time she is very active. She loves to exercise, dance, play with her dog and go for walks. When the weather isn’t cooperative or she’s worn out, you can find Dr. OH snuggled up with a book on the couch. Dr. OH goes to Lake of the Ozarks most weekends where she and her husband enjoy going fast on their boat. They love listening to live music and connecting with friends on the water.

    Dear Robinson Elementary Families-

As I begin to transition into the role of building principal, I wanted to provide some ways for the students to become familiar with me. Mrs. Sisul came up with the idea for the kids to ask me questions and I would record responses to be shared in the morning announcements. This was a positive experience for both students, staff, and myself.

Each week, I will be reading a book and recording it for families to view together. I would love for you to share these with your child and have some meaningful conversations about the text after the reading is completed. My hope is to help students continue to develop their love of reading and connecting to texts. I will provide an overview to the text so that you can preview it with your student to see if they're interested in viewing.

    This week's text:

    Possible questions to discuss:

    - What makes the girls beautiful?

    - Do the girls all look the same?

    - What important traits does the author share?

    - How do the illustrations help the reader to understand what the author is saying?

Thank you so much for helping me to connect with the kids. I am looking forward to getting to meet you all!

    Feedback on Virtual Learning

I would like to gather your feedback regarding your perspective on your child's fourth quarter learning experience. This survey is anonymous and will be used to help me understand what went well during the closure, and what we could do to improve should there be another school closure in the future. I am not saying that we will have a closure again, but I do feel that it's important to reflect on this time and gather input in case the need arises again in the future.

I appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete the brief survey and provide your input. Distance Learning Parent Survey
