Please follow the directions below to register for summer LAUNCH classes through Springfield Public Schools.
Visit https://explorereg.sps.org/ to start the process.
Once there, click on the green Start Registration Wizard button.
Once the Registration Wizard opens, most families will click NO ACTIVE ID.
Then click ONLY SUMMER CLASSES,
Then click NEVER ATTENDED SPS (unless your child has actually attended SPS).
Because you are actually enrolling your child in Springfield Public Schools for the summer, you'll need to provide key documents just like you did in Kirkwood. These include
- An up-to-date immunization record for the 2020-2021 school year
- A competed Student Health Inventory
- Proof of full legal name (one of the following: Birth Certificate, Passport, Social Security Card, State-Issued ID)

Because you are only enrolling in summer classes, you can download and follow these directions to create an account.
Creating an account is different than enrolling for summer LAUNCH classes. There are several sections of enrollment information to complete:
- Student Information
- Address and Phone
- Contact Information
- Building Information (does not apply)
- Additional Information (i.e. IEP, 504, language, grade level)
- Document Upload
The health inventory, proof of legal name, and immunization record can be scanned and uploaded to the registration site. These can also be faxed to 417-523-1695 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Explore site says to allow 1-2 business days for SPS staff to review and update the information before calling the Explore Office at 417-523-4747 to receive the new Student ID number. Once a Student ID number has been issued, you should be ready to log in to the Explore registration site and register for classes.
We also ask our families to complete a brief KSD Google Form to let us know for which classes you have registered.
