Girls on the Run
  • Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development programfor girls in 3rd- 5th grades that is designed to develop and enhance girls' social, emotional, mental and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences. The program combines training for a 5k (3.1 mile) run with life skill lessons designed to encourage independent thinking, problem solving and team and community building.  At the end of the session, the entire team will finish a 5k event, which provides the opportunity for the girls to achieve their goal and celebrate their accomplishment.
