We believe as a coaching staff that developing our athletes mentally is just as important as developing them physically. We employ several strategies to engage our athletes mentally that will help them as they compete as well as give them a tool to use after Track & Field is completed. These stages of our mental training program, involves the following:
- Mental Recall
- Mental Rehearsal
- Goal-setting Research has shown that goal setting can imporve an athletes performance by 16%

We also believe that this path to excellence is being a better human being, so each week we focus on a word for the week that will help remind us of how important it is to be good citizens. These words help build our character and reinforces our journey to becoming better human beings.
