Kirkwood School District Kindergarten Registration

  • February is Kindergarten Registration Month - KSD Introduces Online Registration - Opens February 1, 2019.

Enrollment continues to grow in the Kirkwood School District, which is why it is important to register for kindergarten online in February. Enrolling in February allows time for schools to plan class schedules and placement of classrooms to maintain desired class size guidelines. Children need to be 5 years old by August 1, 2019, to attend kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year.

“Completing kindergarten registration in February allows our students, families and schools to be prepared for a successful school year,” said Dr. Michele Condon, superintendent of schools. “Last year, we enrolled 441 kindergarten students, one of the largest classes in the last decade. Many of our schools schedule special events for students entering kindergarten to get to know our students and get them acclimated to the school.”
