The Kirkwood School District Foundation Named Award Scholarship Program applications are processed via an online Application Form. Scholarship applications are received through Kaleidoscope, a secure, cloud-based scholarship management program.

Review the scholarship descriptions by clicking here before starting your application.

An application will not be considered complete unless all three steps below are completed and the required documentation is received.  Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete the application, to avoid last minute surprises.

    1. Scholarship Application:  Determine the scholarship(s) that you may qualify for. Links to the 2-year and 4-year scholarships for graduating seniors, Woodard Family Arts Grant, Glunt Family Award, and Myrtle Agnew Walker Endowment for the Visual Arts are found above. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

    2. Supporting Documentation:  The following documents must be uploaded in the application. Please inform us if you cannot upload your documents.

    1) Digital photograph,

    2) Unofficial transcript,

    3) Resume/CV,

    4) Personal Essay. (Please include why you are qualified for the specific award or awards that you have applied for.)

    3. Letter(s) of Recommendation:  The selection committee must also receive at least one but not more than two recommendation letters for your application to be considered complete.  It is your responsibility to inform those submitting a recommendation letter on your behalf. Word or pdf files are the preferred format, and the file name should include your first and last name (For example, Sally Smith_Recommendation Letter_1).

When you have completed your application, press "Submit" and you will automatically be enrolled into the scholarship program or programs for which you qualify.

***Note: If you are applying to the Herb Jones Memorial Scholarship, then an additional essay and an example of journalism work will also be required. If you are applying to the Kirkwood Teachers of Color Scholarship, then an extra essay will be required. Please click the "Additional information needed" on the scholarship panel to submit these works.***

Once the application process closes on February 25, 2022, the KSDF Named Awards Scholarship Committee will review all applications and documentation.

Interviews will be determined based on the total number of applications received. A completed application does not guarantee an interview, and the KSDF Named Awards Committee reserves the right to make interview selections. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the KHS Guidance office to sign up for an interview time. If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive notification via email. (Interviews will occur in late March, either in person or via Zoom. This will be determined in late February.) Music auditions and Art portfolio reviews will occur in April. Award selections will be made in late April and announced by the first Tuesday in May.
