The Kirkwood School District Board of Education unanimously approved a one-year certified teacher salary package for the 2019-20 school year. The BOE approved the salary committee recommendation of an increase of 1.14% added to the salary package for the 2019-20 school year. A beginning certified teacher salary is increasing from $43,000 to $44,000. The average teacher salary increase is 2.65%.
“We believe this package is financially sustainable and will allow us to continue to attract and retain high-quality teachers,” said Cindi Nelson, Director of Human Resources.
