What is the Common Application? The Common Application is a not-for-profit organization.  It is an undergraduate admission application that allows students to apply to over 750 member colleges with one application.  Since many colleges require details of a student's background, education, testing and activities, the Common Application allows students to enter this one time for multiple applications.  Some schools only accept the Common Application and other schools accept the Common Application and their own application.  Tips for Using the Common Application
