Welcome to Kirkwood Early Childhood Center! We hope to be able to help your family with parenting needs from birth (Parents as Teachers) and preschool needs from age 2 until your child is eligible for kindergarten. Children are eligible for our full day programming during the year that they turn two prior to August 1st, and they are eligible for our half day programming if they are 3-years-old before August 1st.
In an effort to maintain our strong commitment to the health and safety of our students, staff, and families as our top priority, we wanted to provide you our health attendance practices for you to access as an ongoing reference conveniently.
If your KECC student is showing any symptoms of illness, they are unable to attend school.
This includes the following:
- Shortness of Breath
- Difficulty Breathing
- Loss of Taste or Smell
- Fever (over 100.0 F)
- Sore Throat
- Muscle Aches
- Runny Nose
- Exposure to COVID
- Being Tested for COVID

Kirkwood School District Board of Education Approves Hire of New Girls Soccer Coach at Kirkwood High School
At the regularly scheduled Kirkwood School District Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 27, the BOE approved the recommendation of the appointment of Jordan Sabotic as the next girls head soccer coach at Kirkwood High School.
Kirkwood School District Board of Education Approves Hire of New Boys Head Basketball Coach at Kirkwood High School
At the regularly scheduled Kirkwood School District Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 27, the BOE approved the recommendation of the appointment of Sam Briscoe as the next boys head basketball coach at Kirkwood High School.
Kirkwood High School in the Kirkwood School District is recognized as a 2021-22 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished High School for providing broad access to transformative learning opportunities for students through its PLTW programs.
At the Technology Education Association of Missouri (TEAM) annual state contest and awards program, Nipher Middle School students finished with high marks in several categories.
