1st Grade
Welcome to first grade! This web site is designed to give you helpful information, a glimpse of our day, answer your questions, and introduce the teachers.
Our main goal as first grade teachers is to nurture and develop a love of learning in all of the children. First graders come to us with a diverse and varied background. Our job is to meet the needs of all the children in our classes. Although this is a big task, we realize the importance of individualized instruction and work very hard at making each child feel valued.
Westchester Elementary is a Gold Star and Blue Ribbon school. Education is what we do best. We are proud of our school and welcome visitors. Should you stop by our classes, you will see students engaged, involved, working, and learning. First grade is a wonderful place to be!
