Where am I?

Westchester Pride

The Westchester school community takes pride in developing an environment that supports high expectations for student success.  Through our school-wide Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) program, we have developed a common vision and language that is shared by all stakeholders to ensure that students are successful learners.  Our school-wide expectations include the four "Be's" - be respectful, be responsible, be cooperative, and be safe.

These "big four" expectations are used to promote and encourage positive behaviors throughout our school each day.  As teachers build their own classroom communities, they reinforce these beliefs and practice what they look like in settings throughout the school.  Through the use of our "Shining Stars" program, staff members recognize classes and individuals who demonstrate our school-wide expectations and celebrate them on our morning television announcements.

Students begin each day singing the "Westchester School Song" that highlights these expectations.

Westchester School Song

Respect, responsibility and cooperation, too,

They bring out the best in me, and they bring out the very best in you.

Doing your best and remaining safe,

Makes Westchester Elementary a better place.

We all know what’s right,

We all know what’s good,

We will do the things that we should.

We are Westchester Winners!

We are Westchester Winners!

We are Westchester Winners, oh Yeah!!
