PTO PRESIDENTS’ WELCOME
On behalf of the Tillman Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) we welcome you to the start of the 2011-2012 school year. This year we are also excited to welcome our new principal, Dr. Lisa Greenstein, and our Administrative Intern, Mrs. Heidi Ford, to our Tillman community.
We invite you to become actively involved in our organization by participating in PTO meetings and school events and signing up to volunteer. Look for tables set up in the gym at the Kindergarten Parent Meeting (August 11) and the Back to School Kick-Off (August 15).
There are several events right at the start of the school year that give you the chance to get involved at Tillman. Look for information about the Fall Scholastic Book Fair (Sept. 8 & 13), Greentree Float decorating events leading up to Parade Festivities (Sept. 17) and Fallapalooza (Sept. 23).
A great way to gather information and share ideas is by attending the monthly PTO meetings held in the Tillman Multi-Purpose Room. Join us for our first meeting on September 20 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
Please plan on attending the Back to School Coffee (Back to School Lemonade for Afternoon Kindergarten Families) after you drop your children off on the first day of school (August 17) in the Multi-Purpose Room.
New PTO Board members and committee chairs were announced at the end of last school year. Please feel free to contact the PTO with any questions or ideas throughout the year.
