Glendale-Kirkwood Kiwanis Present Early Reader Books to Kindergartners

The Glendale-Kirkwood Kiwanis Club presented each of the 372 kindergarten students in the Kirkwood School District with an early reader book at the end of the school year as part of the service club’s Early Reader Program. Initiated in spring 2006, the Kiwanis Early Reader Program has become an annual “graduation” gift for the kindergartners and a celebration of the young students’ love of reading.

KIRKWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT DEDICATES TRACK TO ALVIN MILLER

On Wednesday afternoon, the Kirkwood School District and Kirkwood School District Foundation hosted a ceremony, officially dedicating the Kirkwood High School track to Alvin Miller and naming it “Alvin Miller Track.”
The dedication was held prior to the elementary school track meet with hundreds of students, parents, staff and administrators in attendance.

Kirkwood School District Students Excel at Academy of Science-Science Fair

Kirkwood School District elementary and middle school students submitted 19 projects to the Science Fair sponsored by the St. Louis Academy of Science. Of these entries, 16 projects received blue ribbons with four receiving special awards in addition to the ribbon.
