Where am I?

Service Learning

The Sista Girl club raised money in December in support of The Immigrant and Refugee Womens' Program, an organization based in St. Louis which provides resources and English education to immigrant women. The Sista Girls sold hot chocolate for 25 cents during lunch recesses, raising enough money to purchase $200 worth of supplies for the program. Notebooks, markers, index cards, dry erase boards and markers, and copy paper were included among the items donated.

Amy Stephens, ESL teacher, came to talk to the girls about the Immigrant and Refugee Womens' Program and about immigration in the United States. You can learn more about this organization by visiting their website: http://www.irwp.net/

Thank you for your support!

Ms. Graves and Mrs. Sondermann took the items down to the Immigrant and Refugee Women's Program and they were very thankful of our donation. Here is the note they sent us!
