Hats on Day for Kids With Cancer
Robinson Kids Helping Kids! Often at school, kids with cancer are the only ones wearing hats to conceal hair loss from treatments such as chemotherapy. On Hats On Day, kids with cancer are not alone. Robinson held a Hats On Day to benefit The Foundation for Children With Cancer. Mrs. Jackson's first grade class sponsored this event. Because a first grade friend was touched by cancer, the class thought it would be a great idea to help other kids. On Friday, March 7th Robinson kids were able to pay 50 cents in order to wear a hat all day. We raised over $350! That's a lot of quarters to count!

The Foundation for Children With Cancer focuses on the support of families with financial and practical support and tangible resources. Treatments for cancer make it hard for kids to be kids and with about 12,400 children diagnosed with cancer each year, this dreadful disease touches many. We need to acknowledge that 75% of those children will survive! They need the support of students, staff and community.
