We are fortunate at Robinson to have 2 nurses! Kim Garland and Tammy Gierse are here to help our children stay healthy and happy!

Robinson nurses are in the school building to help promote the very best possible physical and emotional environment for educational growth. She available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to assist students in achieving their maximum potential by encouraging good health and hygiene habits. She will help students, staff and parents locate and utilize health resources in the community. She is available to respond with emergency medical care in case of accident or illness.
Your school nurse will:
- monitor each child or staff member who comes to the clinic.
- check any student or staff member with a suspected contagious disease or condition, to determine fitness for school attendance.
- assist staff in planning health related programs or classes.
- conduct or assist with hearing and vision screenings and will inform parents of screening failures.
- check records to verify that all student immunizations comply with Missouri state law.
- promote good nutrition and keep records of height and weight.
Your school nurse will notify a parent, or emergency contact person, if a student is suspected of having a contagious condition. She will also call if a student has a temperature of 100 degrees or more, or if a student is too ill to continue the school day.
