Roadrunner Academy
Roadrunner Academy is our popular after school opportunity for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Led by Robinson staff members, RRA is designed to support kiddos preparing to take the MAP through intentional, and fun, curriculum activities and test taking strategies. Questions like what do you do if you don't know? What do you do if you get tired? What do you do if you think there are two answers?are tackled through meaningful conversation around current curricululm. Small groups, excellent teachers and effective instruction will be the hallmark of this program.

How many students are involved? Because we want to ensure highly specific instruction in reading and math, our class size will be small. Our program will be paid for with money formerly used for Kirkwood’s Extended School Year Summer program. Due to space limitations, participation is by invitation only
What will students do? Each session will include a movement experience, independent reading with a snack, and targeted small group instruction around an area of need. Test taking strategies and stamina building exercises will be threaded into all we do.
What about transportation? Transportation will unfortunately not be provided. Families will need to provide their own transportation or carpool with other students. Families have been successful with shared pickups and carpools in the past; if transportation is the only obstacle for your child’s participation we may be able to help secure another ride.
