Where am I?

Get Involved

  1. Knowing what is happening at my child's school

    • Read the parent/student handbook
    • Read the ROBINSON ROADRUNNER, the PTO newsletter
    • Check your child's backpack daily
    • Ask questions
  2. Helping my child with homework

    • Talk about papers your child brings home
    • Make reviewing, studying for tests a regular part of your family routine
    • Work on math facts
    • Ask questions
    • Check homework assignments for neatness and accuracy
  3. Reading to my child

    • Take turns reading - you read a page, child reads a page
    • Turn off the TV for a set time each night or choose one evening where the whole family reads
    • Visit the library
  4. Spending time with my child

    • Set aside a special quiet time just for the two of you (bedtime, a Saturday morning breakfast date, quiet time after dinner.)
    • Really listen to your child
    • Hug your child
    • Say "I love you" often

REMEMBER!

Our children need:

  • A good breakfast to start the day.
  • A quiet place for homework.
  • Limited TV time.
  • A regular bedtime.
