Robinson Library Media Center serves students, staff, and parents. In addition to our collection of books and magazines, we have videos, laser discs, CD-ROM programs, and other computer software. Parents are welcome to stop by and check out our professional library, which contains books and videos on education and parenting.
The LMC has an online catalog system with eight student search stations. The online catalog can also be accessed in each classroom. Internet access is also available at the LMC.
The LMC is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A library media specialist, library media assistant, and parent volunteers staff the center through the school day. Use of the library media center and instruction is not separate from the disciplines such as language arts, science, and social studies. The kind and extent of the library use called for by classroom assignments determines when students learn retrieval skills. The cooperative efforts of the classroom teacher and the librarian provide opportunities for students to learn and practice these skills. As a result, we use a flexible scheduling system.
Books and magazines are checked out for two weeks, except for Kindergarten, which is checked out for one week. Videos are checked out for one week. Items may be renewed if needed. Overdue notices are distributed weekly. We do not charge fines for overdue items but we do charge for lost or damaged items.

In the fall of 1998, our retired art teacher painted a rain forest mural in the library. It includes animals from both the South American and African rain forests.
