Grade Level Report Card Rubrics
The Kirkwood School District scoring guides (rubrics) offer written descriptions of four student performance levels possible when measured against Kirkwood learning standards and expectations. These rubrics are a tool.

The rubrics name each learning standard found on the grade level quarterly report card. The rubrics explain qualitative differences in performance levels. Our desire is to provide specific and clear feedback regarding your child's mastery of Kirkwood curricular standards and expectations.

The report card explains student quarterly performance by using the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4. Written descriptions provide performance detail which is abbreviated as:
1 = Beginning 2 = Approaching 3 = Meeting Expectations 4 = Surpassing

For each report card standard, the expected performance for all students is a "3". The written description in the "3" column ("Meeting") annotates the Kirkwood standard.
