When to keep your child home from school:
Absences
Please notify the school by 9:00 am when a student will be absent by calling the school nurse or leaving a message at 213-6100 ext 3030. If leaving a message please state the student’s name, class and the reason for absence.
When to keep your child home from school:
- Temperature of 100 degrees or higher, must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school
- Vomiting
- Head Lice – children must stay home until they are treated with a lice killing shampoo, then may return to class.
- Pink Eye and/or drainage from the eye until seen by physician
- Symptoms that would make it difficult for the student to learn in class or make their presence distracting to other students (for example persistent cough, sore throat or "feeling miserable")
