Parent Teacher Organization Mission
The mission of the North Glendale PTO is to strengthen, enhance, and encourage the educational and social environment of North Glendale School, striving to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for students, parents, and teachers to learn, interact, communicate, and grow.
All PTO meetings are open to all parents of the school and are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the Library (LMC) located on the second floor.
We make a promise as the PTO to limit fundraising efforts. Our two biggest fundraisers are the General Fund Drive, which asks for a one-time cash donation, and the buying of grocery cards, or Scrip. The PTO sells Scrip to Shop 'n Save, Dierbergs, and Whole Foods. Schnucks has a card you can just scan with every purchase. This program costs you nothing. You purchase a $100 or $25 gift card - we buy the cards at a discount directly from the stores. It raises around $15,000 per year for our school! There are several fun activities that raise money throughout the school year as well. Fun Fair, Trivia Night with a silent auction, Plant Sale, Spiritwear (clothing) Sale and School Dance are just a few. Be sure North Glendale is set-up to be the school associated with your Target Visa Rewards Program.
Monies raised by the PTO go to support all field trips, enhancements for classrooms and many, many other things.
