Principal's Message
Welcome to North Kirkwood Middle School, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School, a Missouri Gold Star School, and an award winning Champions of Character School! In receiving each of these prestigious awards, North demonstrated an ongoing commitment to rigorous academic curriculum and instruction, development of healthy decision-making skill, and the development of good character and school citizenship.
We are very proud of our students’ academic achievement and know for them to continue learning and growing it takes focused, relevant and engaging instruction, and parental support. We also understand that students learn differently and require the curriculum to be delivered in multiple formats. Therefore, we strive to provide every opportunity for maximum student achievement by personalizing learning activities for our students.
One of our goals is to prepare students to be responsible citizens and people of good character as they take their place in society. We believe that everyone at North Kirkwood Middle School is “Responsible-4 their Learning, Character, Respect, and Relationships.” It has become our motto and a way of life for us at North. You will see these posters throughout our school and we will reference our “R-4” and incorporate it into our lessons and expectations throughout the year.
