North Kirkwood Middle School

NKMS STATEMENT OF MISSION

The main focus of the North Kirkwood Middle School Community, including parents, teachers, students and citizens working and learning together, is to develop the full potential of every student. We encourage a sense of self-worth and pride in intellectual, moral, social, cultural, emotional and physical achievement and well being.

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

A committee of staff, parents and students has formulated the following goals and objectives. These goals and objectives will be an important focal point of the up coming year.

1. All students will be successful.

2. All North Kirkwood Middle School Students will perform at the proficient level or above on the state and district reading tests.

3. Communication Arts—All students will perform at the proficient level or above on the 6th, 7th and 8th grade MAP Test.

4. Mathematics—All students will perform at the proficient level or above on the 6th, 7th and 8th grade MAP Test.
