March 05, 2010
The Kirkwood High School girls’ soccer program is hosting “Pioneer Pride: Girls’ Soccer Fest” on Friday, April 16, 2010, from 6-9 p.m. in the Kirkwood High School Varsity Gym, 801 W. Essex Ave.
Girls in grades 1-7 throughout the Kirkwood School District are invited to meet and play soccer with the KHS varsity soccer players, compete for prizes, enjoy pizza and get a T-shirt. The soccer activities include the 1 v. 1 tournament, 3 v. 3 tournament, accuracy, juggling and dribbling competitions. The evening ends with pizza at 8:30 p.m. and an awards ceremony, which parents are invited to attend, at approximately 8:45 p.m.
All participants will need to bring their tennis shoes (or indoor soccer shoes) and shin guards to participate in the Girls’ Soccer Fest. The registration fee is $35 per player for advance registration received by April 2, 2010, and $40 per player if registration is made later. If more than one family member attends, a multiple player discount of $30 per player is available, but registration must be received by April 2. All proceeds benefit the KHS Soccer Program.
Registration forms are available on the new Kirkwood High School Girls Soccer Team website at http://kweb.kirkwoodschools.org/cottaph/KirkwoodGirlsSoccer.
