St. Louis Wind Symphony Concert is Sunday, March 14 in Keating Performance Center at Kirkwood High School

The St. Louis Wind Symphony will perform in concert on Sunday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the Keating Center Theatre at Kirkwood High School. Tickets are available at the door for $8 with a special price of $5 for seniors and students.

The concert will feature the following compositions:

St. Louis Medley - arr. Bill Archer
Diamond Variations - Robert Jager
Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral - Richard Wagner/Cailliet
Noisy Wheels of Joy -Eric Whitacre - Jim Cochran, Guest Conductor
American Hymnsong Suite - Dwayne S. Milburn
Variations on a Hymn by Louis Bourgeois - Claude T. Smith
Marching Down Broadway - Warren Barker
Salute to the Armed Forces - arr. Robert Lowden
America the Beautiful - arr. Carmen Dragon

The St. Louis Wind Symphony was founded in 1998 by Music Director and Conductor Dan Presgrave and a core group of musicians as a non-profit, all-volunteer concert band dedicated to the highest-quality performance of best wind literature. Tom Poshak, who served 30 years as music director for Kirkwood School District and band director for KHS before his retirement in 2001, is assistant director for Saint Louis Wind Symphony. The Thomas N. Keating Performance Center at KHS is the home base for the Wind Symphony.
