Purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor and recognize men and women athletes, coaches, or community members who have made significant contributions to Kirkwood High School athletics. If you would like to nominate someone, please fill out a nomination application. We are proud to acknowledge those who have contributed to Pioneer pride, their community and to society at large.
Criteria/Guidelines
Categories:
Alumni-Must have graduated from KHS at least five years prior.
Coaches or Employees-Must be at least two years beyond employment time or service.
Community Members- Must have been instrumental in contributing to the advancement of KHS athletics.
Nominees will be contacted to give consent for consideration and to verify data on accompanying documentation.
Honorees will be recognized at a dinner on March 14, 2009. Nominees will receive a personal award and a tribute will be displayed in the “Athletic Hall of Fame” at KHS.
All nominees must be of high moral character and have contributed to society.
Nominations may be submitted to the KSD Community Relations & Development Office, 11289 Manchester Road, Kirkwood, 63122 or completed online at www.kirkwoodschools.org
Nominations are due by January 2, 2009; inductees will be announced by January 14, 2009.
All nominations become property of the KSD Community Relations & Development Office and of the Selection Committee. Nominations will not be returned to the nominator, reprinted for the nominee or otherwise distributed.
To ensure fairness in the process, the Selection Committee reserves the right to research and verify any and all information.
