Mark Your Calendar – Winter Sports Senior Night

The Athletic Department would like to invite all staff members and parents to celebrate our seniors as they participate in their last home athletic contest.

  • Girls Swim and Dive: 4:00 PM, Feb 4 vs. Marquette @ Meramec CC pool
  • Wrestling: 6:30 PM, Feb 9 vs. Webster Groves @ The Wood - Varsity Gym
  • Girls Basketball: 7:00 PM, Feb 16 vs. Eureka @ The Wood - Varsity Gym
  • Boys Basketball: 7:00 PM, Feb 19 vs. Oakville @ The Wood - Varsity Gym  

Spring Sports Begin March 1, 2010

Student-athletes may begin picking up practice cards February 16, 2010 in the athletic office. (Please Remember: Students interested in participating in Pioneer Athletics must have a valid (after Feb. 1, 2009) physical and parent permission card on file in the KHS Athletic Office in order to participate.)

  • Feb. 22, 2010:  First Day of Practice - Water Polo
  • March 1, 2010: First Day of Practice - Spring Sports (Baseball, Boys Golf, Girls Lacrosse, Girls Soccer, Boys Tennis, Boys and Girls Track and Field and Boys Volleyball)
Kirkwood's Winning Team - Academics & Athletics

The Kirkwood School District Foundation (KSDF) recently launched “Kirkwood’s Winning Team: Academics & Athletics” and committed to raising $1 million for the improvements, which include installation of a synthetic surface on Lyons Field, replacement of the eight-lane track, and ADA compliance updates. The athletic initiative complements the successful academic campaign conducted by the Kirkwood School District Foundation in 2007 to raise $1.3 million in private funds for the Earl and Myrtle Walker Science Center at Kirkwood High School.

The Kirkwood School District Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides funding for educational programs and major projects that cannot be met through traditional funding sources. The Foundation board is governed by a 20+ member board of directors and has a teacher and board of education representative.
