Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) — Spring 2010
The Kirkwood School District is pleased to report that the 2010 MAP index scores for Kirkwood students rank in the top five for St. Louis County in every grade level and content area. Students in Grades 3 through 8 were tested in communications arts and mathematics. Students in Grades 5 and 8 were also tested in science.

In an article on overall MAP scores published July 30, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Kirkwood as being one of the local districts with the “highest passing rates again this year” with at least 75 percent of its students passing the tests given last spring.

End of Course Exams (EOC)

On the End of Course (EOC) exams taken at the high school level, Kirkwood High School students ranked first in algebra and third in biology and English II. This is the second year high school students have taken the EOC exams, which replaced MAP tests previously given to students in 10th grade (math) and 11th grade (communications arts). Students take the EOC exams over specific content at the end of the course.
