Keysor was named to the state’s Top Ten List for high performance on the spring 2006 MAP tests in both fifth-grade communication arts and mathematics.
Keysor has earned the Top Youth Program award three years in a row from the Salvation Army Tree of Lights Campaign. Our Pennies for People program collected over $3000 for the campaign last year alone.
Florence Borman, fifth-grade teacher at Keysor, received the 2007 Courageous Educator Award at the Educating for Change Curriculum Fair held at the University of Missouri St. Louis. The Courageous Educator Award, sponsored by the Literacy for Social Justice Teacher Research Group, is given to educators who have exhibited courage and leadership in educational settings.
