Hours and Holidays
Full Day Preschool
The Kirkwood Early Childhood Center is open from 6:30a to 6:00p, Monday through Friday. We do observe the following holidays and the school will be closed on the following days: Memorial Day, Independence Day, District Opening Day Workshop (August 11, 2011), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas (Observed December 26, 2011), Winter Break (Dec. 23, 2011 and Dec. 27 - Dec. 30, 2011), New Year’s Day (Observed January 2, 2012), Martin Luther King Day, District Staff Development Day (February 17, 2012), and Presidents’ Day.
Fees will not be charged for Opening Day Workshop, Winter Break, or District Staff Development Day.
* (Note: When a holiday falls on a Saturday, KECC will observe the holiday on a Friday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, KECC will observe the holiday on a Monday.)
Half Day Preschool
This part of our program follows the child's individual schedules for times and days of attendance, as well as the Kirkwood R-7 (PK-12) district calendar for days of student attendance. For details regarding this calendar, please visit http://www.kirkwoodschools.org/calendar/.
