Change for Haiti
Change for Haiti
KHS French students in Ms. Kalfus’ classes closely followed the news of the earthquake in Haiti as it unfolded. They were very touched and decided to collect change in their classes, at lunchtime, and at homeroom throughout the week. Their idea was that almost anyone can spare some change from the bottom of their backpacks or under the seat of their cars. Students were able to collect $2134.24! They want to extend a special thank you to Kirkwood Youth Service for generously donating $500 to this cause.
They also want to thank the teachers and staff members who collected in their own classrooms and to everyone who gave and encouraged students to give to Change for Haiti. All money will be sent to Doctors Without Borders.
