We will be studying the cultural geography of four regions of the world this year: Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
Our curriculum is based on the slogan painted on my back wall:
"History waits upon geography. Before you can have a play, you must have a stage."
For each unit of study, we will examine how geography has affected the culture, history and economy of the region.
Students from 2009-2010, check out the picture on the link below - this is the well in Cambodia we raised money for! You should feel very proud of your accomplishment - you changed lives for the better!

Test Correction Policy
On any unit assessment (not map quizzes), students may do test corrections. The procedures for test corrections are as follows:
1. Student must have a signature from parent/guardian acknowledging that parent/guardian has seen and reviewed the test.
2. Student must explain (in writing) why corrected answer is correct. Simply changing the letter for the answer to a multiple choice question is not enough - students have to demonstrate their understanding of why new answer is correct!
3. Students may use the study guide, unit booklet (if any) and class notes in order to write their explanation for step 2.
4. Test corrections are accepted until the cut-off date determined by teacher.
Test corrections will only be accepted and applied if the conditions above are met.
