Nipher Middle School Orchestra
to Perform for Missouri Music Educators Association

The Nipher Middle School Orchestra has been invited to perform at the
2008-09 Missouri Music Educators Association convention in January at
the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.

According to Kelly Judge, music teacher and orchestra director, the Nipher Orchestra was the only middleschool orchestra in the state asked to perform in this year’s program.

Music groups from schools throughout the state are selected from taped
auditions submitted to MMEA in the spring before the convention.
Schools are eligible for selection only once every three years.

The Nipher Orchestra, which features approximately 50 students in grades 6-8, also performed three years ago at the convention in 2005.
