Medication
All medication brought to KECC must be signed in the with receptionist or school nurse. We are required to keep all medication out of reach of children, therefore, no medicine can be kept in a child's cubby or tote bag. Please be aware that we are not allowed to give the first dose of any medicine. Please note the following:
Prescription medicine
- The bottle must have the orignal prescription label.
- An authorization form must be completed by the parent/guardian. Advise teacher and/or nurse that the medication needs to be given.
Non prescription medicine
- The medication must be in the original bottle.
- A written note from the doctor must accompany medication giving child's name, medication name, dose, dates and times to be given.
- An authorization form must be completed by the parent/guardian.
- Advise teacher and/or nurse that the medication needs to be given.
