Who's your favorite M.C. ?
It's M.C. Escher. Click on this site and check out some of his work. He is famous for using tessellations in his paintings and for creating impossible pictures.
- Click on “Picture Gallery” on the bottom left-hand side of the web page and look through some of Escher’s work. Pick out your favorite and save it on the desktop or in your Nipher Vol. 1 folder. To save the picture, hold down the “Control” button and click on the picture. Now click on “Save Image As . . .”.
- Now click on “Downloads” and watch some videos that fly you through some of Escher’s paintings in 3D!

This site just has pictures. They are not videos, but they appear to move! How does it work? Tessellations were used to create many of these pictures and specific colors were selected to create the illusion of movement. They are simply tricking your eyes into believing that they move!
Scroll down and click on different illusions . . .
