Where am I?

Dear Parents,
Fourth grade promises to be a year filled with many new and exciting opportunities and responsibilities for students.
As a fourth grader, your child will be challenged to become more autonomous through risk-taking experiences (oral presentations) and accepting ownership (daily homework, an individualized spelling program/weekly spelling tests, home-school communication, etc.,). As a parent, you can help foster your child's independence and self-discipline by setting the stage for open communication, promoting conversation, and encouraging questions. We are confident this year will prove to be one of marvelous growth, because "children who ask questions and risk making incorrect predictions are invested in active [and critical] thinking."
Again, if you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact us anytime throughout the year. Remember, you are always welcome to take an active part in your child's learning in our rooms.
