Meet the Teacher
My goal as a Health and Physical Education professional is to transfer my love of teaching into my students’ love of learning. Students make decisions about their health every day. Concepts, attitudes and knowledge are needed for making these decisions. When students enter a classroom that provides a climate that embraces diversity, is positive, supportive, stimulating, and fun, they become learners with unlimited potential.
Being knowledgeable, enthusiastic and setting high expectations about what I teach, while having fun with my students, makes learning exciting and memorable. My dream as a Health and Physical Education professional is to relate/inspire all of my students and empower them so they can make wise choices throughout their life. The quote in the front of my classroom states: “Being healthy is a lifestyle commitment.”
My wish is that students leave my classroom understanding the importance of healthy lifestyles and being active movers throughout life. I want to foster creativity and inspire all my students to be life long-learners. My love of teaching is a self-portrait of who I am and the desire to be the best teacher that I can be. So, I autograph my work with excellence and watch to see where my students will soar with their knowledge.
