Grants & Awards

Where am I?

For the Betterment of our Children and Community

The KSDF Grant Program impacts children and educators. The Foundation  evenly distributes annual grant funds to each of the elementary schools, the middle schools and the early childhood education center. Those schools may use the funds on any project supporting and promoting student and/or educator development.

In return, the Foundation requires just two things from the schools:  1) an annual report on how the money was spent and 2) to promote KSDF special events to their school community.

The mission of the KSDF is to be the major fund-raising arm of the Kirkwood School District. The Foundation has been involved in large projects such as Pioneering the Advancement of Science, the science initiative that raised $1.3 million for the Earl and Myrtle Walker Science Center at KHS.

The KSDF Grant Program is aligned with the Foundation’s mission and keeps the organization in closer touch with all KSD students.  Your comments are welcomed and encouraged. For additional information, please contact the Kirkwood School District Foundation office, (314) 213-6123.
